Technical Instructions for Presentations
Oral Presentations
Time slot for oral presentations is 20 minutes (15 minutes presentation + 5 minutes discussion), for key note speakers 30 minutes (20 minutes presentation + 10 minutes discussion).
A beamer will be available in the lecture hall (and projectors for slides and overheads as well - upon request). The following presentation software will be provided: Adobe Reader 9, Microsoft Power Point 2007 and OpenOffice Presenter 3.1. The presentation file should preferably be submitted on-line (Login + Password from the registration mail) before the first day of the workshop.
Poster and Poster Session
The supported poster format is DIN A0 Portrait. Posters should be put up from the beginning and remain on the poster boards until the end of the workshop. Poster boards will be assigned by numbers available in the final announcement; poster pins will be provided.
The authors should be available at their posters during the poster pub on Wednesday evening.and during the coffee breaks.
Oral Poster Presentations
We plan a short poster presentation in the lecture hall. You have only one minute to present your poster on a single slide since participants might prefer to see you during the poster pub. Please, do not try to put the whole poster on that single slide but use the template file given here. The intention is to give a quick overview to the audience about the topic of your poster (details will be available during the “session”) and to give the opportunity to remember you and to accept a maximum of one question from the audience if your presentation is not clear
Submission of the poster presentation file follows the same on-line procedure as for oral presentations. Only pdf files (Adobe Acrobat) will be accepted. Anticipated deadline for submission is Tuesday night before the workshop.
Speaker Ready Room
A speaker ready room (S102 next to the lecture hall) will be provided where you can check your presentation(s) during the breaks.
