1st day:
8:00 h: Departure at Universsity of Bayreuth, Geo parking
1st stop: Armesberg (via Kemnath)
Morphostructure between Fichtel Mts. and Upper Palatinate Forest; view into the Waldershof-Neusorg graben
2nd stop: Železná hůrka (Eisenbühl) and Mýtina-Maar (via Neualbenreuth)
Pleistocene volcanism, maar volcanism
3rd stop: Jesenice water reservoir
Overview Cheb Basin, Mariánské Lázně fault
Lunch at Hartosov (not included in the price)
4th stop: Mofetts in the Hartosov – Milhostov area
CO2-emanation, Plesna fault zone
5th stop: Nebanice open pit
Terraces of the Ohre / Eger River / Nebanice fault zone
6th stop: Mariánské Lázně fault and epicentral area of Nový Kostel
Neotectonics, geomorphology, and seismotectonics in the main epicentral zone of the NW Bohemian / Vogtland swarm earthquakes
7th stop: Open pit Skalna / Nova Ves
Vildstejn Formation (late Pliocene to Pleistocene deposits), china clay
8th stop: Františkovy Lázně
Hydrogeology and balneology of the well-known spa
9th stop: Komorní Hůrka (Kammerbühl).
Middle Pleistocene volcanism, melinite-nephelinite with olivine; J.W. v. Goethe and the dispute between neptunists and plutonists.

2nd day
8:00 h departure
1st stop: Nové Sedlo
Brown-coal mining, open mining Družba, Eger Graben, neotectonics
2nd stop: Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad)
Walk through the famous spa; travertine, “Sprudelquell” Karlovy Vary hot spring / Sprudel (Vřídlo)
Lunch break (not included) at Karlovy Vary or at
3rd stop: Andĕlská Hora viewpoint
Tertiary Phonolith, Doupov Mts. (Doupovské hory)
4th stop: Bohemian Karst, Svatý Jan pod Skalou (St. Johann unter dem Felsen), thick Holocene travertines and cave
5th stop: Tetín, viewpoint at the ruins of former Royal castle; canyon of Berounka River, fluvial geomorphology from Upper Tertiary river inversion to the 2002 millennial flood.

Individual visit to the old city and dinner in Praha.
3rd day
8:30 h departure
1st stop: Řež near Husinec, (N of Praha); terraces of the Vlatava River
2nd stop: Zemĕchy; loess stratigraphy of the last glacial-interglacial cycle
Trip back to Bayreuth with lunch break on the way (not included).
Arrival to Bayreuth Train Station until 18:00 h.
