Summer School: Impact of Environmental Changes on Diseases

From 3rd to 14th July the University of Bayreuth offers the Summer School programme "Public Health & Environment". The first week covers public health surveillance and applications, taught by Prof. Dr. Eduardo J. Simoes, University of Missouri School of Medicine. In the second week Dr. Shakoor Hajat from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Dr. Cyril Caminade from the Institute of Infection and Global Health, University of Liverpool highlight impacts of environmental changes and climate change on diseases.

Topics span from environmental epidemiology, air pollution, extreme weather events and heat exposure to vector-borne diseases (-> Flyer Summer School)
For international guests the summer school offers lunch and accomodation as well as a weekend field trip to Berlin. Students of the University of Bayreuth may attend the courses for a reduced fee. Deadline for external application is 30th of April.
