Horticulture Intern: Improved and maintained garden landscape, pruned extensive rose and boxwood collection, counteracted compacted soil in historic Olmstead Woods with planting projects.

Puerto Lopez, Ecuador

Reforestation and Environmental Education Intern: Promoted awareness regarding local deforestation and its connection to erosion, landslides, and flooding events, worked in tree nursery for reforestation projects, and led classes in schools about local environmental issues and regional endemics, particularly the humpback whale.
