Fees and Payment
The regular and student registration fee as well as the fee for non-members includes:
- Conference documents
- Entry to all scientific sessions
- Coffee and snacks during breaks
- Lunch in the Mensa
- Welcome Reception
- Conference Banquet
- Two poster partys (snacks and drinks)
- Bus shuttle service
The registration fee for accompanying persons includes the Welcome Reception, Conference Banquet; poster partys and closing ceremony as well as the bus shuttle service. No separate registration is required.

Please note that registration is substantially less for IBS members. If you are not already an IBS member, you can sign up for a membership prior to registering in order to get the discounted rate. Membership rates vary from 25 to 70 USD and include more benefits than discounted conference fees, so it is worth your while to become a member! More details can be found at www.biogeography.org/html/membership.html.
IBS members should have their membership number at hand for the registration. You can find your registration number by accessing your membership account or by contacting Karen Faller at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Standard payment for international participants is PayPal. PayPal offers all kinds of payment methods including credit card. There is no need to register at PayPal. It is possible to pay as guest.
Alternatively bank transfer is possible for EU participants, bank transfer information will be given during online registration. Please understand that the conference cannot cover the divers bank transfer fees incurred in transactions from outside the EU.
It is no problem to pay the fees in several installments, if you decide to join a field trip or workshop or do a donation later on. Your personal fees and payments are documented in the internal part of the conference website.
Volunteer Opportunities and Donations
Volunteers are needed for several conference activities including helping to judge posters for awards at the conference, as well as for leading discussion groups. Please consider signing up for one of these positions when you register, or closer to the conference.
Donations are used to raise funds for student/developing country travel to meetings, memberships for students and biogeographers from developing countries, and supporting the early development of Frontiers of Biogeography, as well as other endeavours of the society.
If you would like your donation targeted to a specific category, please indicate so by choosing to sponsor a student/post-doc/developing country registration, or by contacting email@example.com.

Refund and Cancellation Policies
Refund of registration fees will be made if written notification of cancellation is sent to the organizing committee (firstname.lastname@example.org):
- 90% refund if done prior to Dec 1st
- 80% refund if canceled between Dec 1st and Jan 1st
- Refunds after January 1st are only given on a case by case basis if budget allows. Please contact email@example.com
