Brown Bag Discussions

IBSBrown bagDuring lunch on Saturday and Sunday you are invited to join our informal "brown bag discussions", which will actually take place with real plates and without brown bags in an adjoining room of the cafeteria. These discussions are aimed at soliciting input from all members of IBS, in particular with regards:

  1. Directions of IBS as we move ahead and grow;
  2. how you can become more involved; and
  3. any other topics that you would like to have discussed.

With regards moving ahead and growing - both in size and global extent - we need to be thinking how we can enhance the global connection of IBS. Possible activities include workshops that focus on tool development; online resources; setting up social media. We should also be thinking about whether we want to - or should - grow conceptually; are there areas of biogeography that we should seek to expand?

We very much hope that as many members as possible who are interested in the future of the society, can attend. And please email the President, Rosemary Gillespie, with suggestions for additional agenda items.
