The module consists of the courses Ecology of Plants (lecture) and Microbiology (lecture). The courses aim to impart competence in the ecology of plants and microorganisms as well as in land use systems and the influence of humans on ecosystems. Plant ecology deals primarily with the autoecological framework of plant life. Microbiology deals with the functionally significant processes and mechanisms of ecosystems controlled by microorganisms.
