The KHLim, Katholieke Hogeschool Limburg, is a University College in Diepenbeek, near Hasselt, Belgium. KHLim is renowned for the high quality of its teaching and research programs. The Centre for Subject Matter Teaching builts up expertise in Science, Mathematics, Arts and Technology Education, especially in the field of (interdisciplinary) Pedagogical Content Knowledge PCK.It ‘s main publications are on (a) standards of quality for PCK (b) interdisciplinary as an enrichment for PCK (e.g. music and physics).
Every school year the Centre organizes continuing training for secondary school teachers in mathematics, natural sciences, music, technology and computer science. The Centre organizes also various actions for science communication.
