The Institution

The Centre is a state-owned institution with the mission to develop learning environment in 1500 general schools and 2500 kindergartens of the city of Moscow. This covers choosing all types of instruments and information sources with a special emphasis on ICT, methodical guidance and support and in-service training of teachers, development materials for teacher, community building, organizing seminars and exhibitions. The Centre bases its strategy on open learning environments, students' leading role, hands-on activity, multimodal information perception and 'multiple intelligence'.

Involvement in PATHWAY

The Centre is responsible for the implementation and dissimenation the Profile of the Effective Science Teachers inside Russia and for translation of the matherials into Russian and back. Its task is also to define and describe a Russian Best Practice in IBSE.
