Communicating (= Sharing) Research in Seminars

Often subjects and methods of the own research project refer to different disciplines. Specific research seminars are organised in (almost) every research group - glancing beyond one's own nose is worthwhile. Helpful suggestions for the own project and new possibilities for cooperation may be discovered.

At the same time the candidate learns how to present and discuss his or her own results in a small group. These competences are important for larger conferences in science as well as in many other working fields beyond science. At the latest for the final exam the doctoral student should feel confident with giving a scientific talk.

For this reason, the commitment in research seminars is required and supported by PEER. For every participation with presentation 2 credit points are given account for. At least three seminars should be visited, at most six seminars can be taken into account.
