  Botswana. He is a member of the IUCN African Elephant Specialist Group (I
 UCN AfESG)\, IUCN Human-Wildlife Conflict Taskforce (IUCN HWCTF) and IUCN 
 Wildlife Health Specialist Group (IUCN WHSG). Dr. Hoare serves as an indep
 endent consultant to several conservation NGOs in Zimbabwe and throughout 
 Africa.\n&nbsp\;\n\nWild species which are problematic in conflicts worldw
 ide will be listed and illustrated.\nInternational bodies that deal with H
 WC will be mentioned.\nPrinciples of HWC mitigation (that apply across man
 y species) will be emphasised and explained.\nCase studies on the major HW
 C conflict species in Africa will be used to illustrate HWC mitigation mea
 sures in practice.\nWays of evaluating the success of these HWC mitigation
