DESCRIPTION:In order to make nature restoration more effective\, better too
 ls for quantifying the effects of ecological restoration interventions – a
 nd environmental impacts more generally – are needed. Here\, I will presen
 t work from my PhD thesis on the application of Generalised Latent Variabl
 e Models (GLVMS) to modeling long term succession dynamics in species comp
 osition after restoration\, aimed at giving estimates of both the time to 
 recovery relative to a reference\, relative effectiveness of different tre
 atments\, and associated uncertainties.
