 he is visiting the Department of Hydrology as International Fellow of the 
 University of Bayreuth in June 2017.\nCarolyn Oldham has led research proj
 ects in a number of developing countries\, has sat on the Board of Enginee
 rs Without Borders Australia\, and has worked in East Timor to build capac
 ity in their Universities to train East Timorese engineers. In an open dis
 cussion with the Technik ohne Grenzen - Regionalgruppe Bayreuth she will p
 rovide some learning from working in this only recently de-militiarised re
