Motivation as the key factor in open learning environments

Informal learning became a major didactical issue since the beginning of 1990s leading also to the development of appropriate theories and terminologies. The science centres and museums have traditionally underlined their role as cognitive learning sources. However, the main results of the research indicate the relation of intrinsic motivation and to the learning process in an open learning environments. The effect is created by physical, social and personal context of learners.
