Current Research:

Sustainable use of water resources under the Mediterranean climate is a big challenge. My current research interests are (a) evaluating the impact of the ecosystem services in a regional scale (b) assessing the impact of food import (export) on the virtual water flow in the global scale; which will help the MedWater project (GRoW/ BMBF) to develop a management tools for improvement of the water use efficiency. My research focuses on a selected area in the Mediterranean region (Israel) with the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT model).
