Rachid Dris received his PhD from the University of Paris-Est in 2016. It aimed at assessing the sources and fate of macro and microplastics in urban hydrosystems. He worked on various compartments, including air, freshwater, wastewater and rain water. Since 2017, he has been working as a Postdoc at the university of Bayreuth (Germany), focussing on the BASEMAN project, funded by JPI-Oceans. The project aims at defining the baselines and standards for the analysis of microplastics in European waters.
