Learning Objective (Module B8): The module’s aim is to teach students about the drivers that influence earth’s vegetation distribution as well as to communicate the role of terrestrial vegetation in earth’s ecosystems. Students who successfully participate in this course will be able to critically assess and interpret dynamic vegetation models (DGVMs).  

Course Content: In the seminar we review and discuss seminal contributions to vegetation ecology and use this knowledge to articulate research priorities for plant ecology in the context of global change.
