Scheduled early in the HypoTRAIN training programme, this ATC aims at familiarizing ESRs with modelling concepts for hyporheic processes. In addition, the contrast between temporal and spatial resolution of measured data and the resolution needed to model hyporheic processes will be highlighted. This will allow experimentally working ESRs to take model-specific needs into account and will ensure a seamless integration between studies within HypoTRAIN.
