Interannual vegetation dynamics in forest springs

At the University of Bayreuth vegetation of forest springs in Frankenwald and Fichtelgebrige is investigated to its qualification as bioindicator to changes in environment. Here reactions of vegetation to short-term changes in hydrological parameters were analyzed over a period of four years in series (2003 - 2006), whereas the focus is on the comparison between bryophytes an vascular plants.
