Luis Bastidas is a researcher at the Chair of Sociology of Religion and Culture at the University of Bayreuth and a fellow of the Social Studies of Religion research group at the National University of Colombia, Bogotá. His research interests include the sociology of knowledge, religion, popular culture, violence, everyday life, and visual research methods.

Maria Papenfuss is a transdisciplinary culture and communication researcher affiliated with ICONOS Instituto de Investigación en Comunicación y Cultura (Mexico City) and co-coordinator of the Colloquium on Latin America at the University of Bayreuth. Her research is focused on alternative religiosities, neopaganism, religion and nature, Afro-American religions, online religion, urban religion, esoteric practices and magic, religion in Latin America, indigenous religions, transdisciplinarity, grounded theory and qualitative empirical methods.

Andrea Muñoz holds a degree in Modern Languages from Universidad EAN (Colombia) and a master’s degree in Intercultural German Studies from the University of Bayreuth. She currently works as a teacher at the Staatliche Berufsschule Bayreuth and as a lecturer in Spanish language at the University of Bayreuth. Since 2025, she has also been part of the Colloquium on Latin America team as a Community Manager. Her interests include science diplomacy, citizen diplomacy, and language didactics and teaching (German and Spanish).
