The main train station in Bayreuth is near the city centre. Bus 316 travels between the train station and the university campus. From Bayreuth’s central bus station (ZOH), you can take the 304, 306, or 326 to the campus. Further information is available on the homepage of VGN. There are three bus stops on campus: 'Mensa', 'Geowissenschaften', and 'Uni-Verwaltung'. The bus stop 'Uni-Verwaltung' is a few meters west of the 'Bayreuther Zentrum für Sportwissenschaft'.
By Car
The campus of the University of Bayreuth is located on the south end of town, just 900 metres from the interchange to motorway “A9” (exit 'Bayreuth-Süd'). Signs labelled “UNIVERSITÄT” will direct you to the campus when driving from the motorway or from downtown.
