Objectives of this project:
- to model surface and subsurface hydrodynamics coupled with heat transport in the hyporheic zones of two focus sites
- to quantify mass fluxes and to set up a biogeochemical reaction model along flow paths
- to link the flow and heat transport model to a geochemical model based on PHREEQC to establish a modelling tool for quantifying the transformation of chemicals in the hyporheic zone
