Lecture: Functional microbiome research (20192)
WS 2024/2025
Fr.: 08:00-10:00, H12
Tillmann Lüders, Daniel Thomas
Microbiomes are linked to many important functions in the human environment, just as they are in us humans. At the same time, the rapid development of molecular technologies in the last decade has resulted in completely new research approaches in modern microbiome research that have revolutionized our approach to complex microbial communities. This module provides a comprehensive understanding of (i) the methodological repertoire and (ii) the major research areas of modern microbiome research in environmental, agricultural and life sciences. Students will gain the competence to independently address issues in functional microbiome research in their further study and research activities.
