Third CREATE Workshop, Bayreuth, July 15, 2015

Visit of CREATE partners from Maseno University, Kenya, and LBDA, Kenya

From July 12 to July 19, Prof. John Onyango from Maseno University, Kenya,  and Dr. Kabok Aguko, Managing Director of Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA), came for a visit to Bayreuth University in order to discuss scientific collaboration with members of the CREATE initiative at Bayreuth University. The main topic to be discussed in a workshop meeting on July 15, was the establishment of a central laboratory facility in Kisumu supported by LBDA to provide space and equipment for lab analyses and sample storage with regard to joint projects. Furthermore, the signing of a MOU between the University of Bayreuth and LBDA will be prepared and a meeting to plan a winter or summer school in the near future will be organized.
