Future perspective: the annual BayCEER Retreat

This year the annual “BayCEER Retreat“ took place at Schloß Schney in Lichtenfels. The BayCEER members discussed potential interdisciplinary topics for research and teaching as well as strategic options for the common BayCEER infrastructure and outreach. 23 members participated in the BayCEER Retreat of which 18 stayed until the group photo was taken on Friday afternoon.
Also in science, the use of different social media channels for networking, self-advertisement, exchange of ideas and outreach becomes increasingly important. The BayCEER now curates a Twitter account to showcase the interdisciplinary research conducted under the umbrella of BayCEER, to circulate news posted on the BayCEER homepage and to advertise the weekly BayCEER colloquium under the common hashtag #BayCEER. We are also working on a blog page that will be implemented into the BayCEER homepage.
