D-A-CH Geobiology symposium 2024 in Bayreuth
2024-06-12
PhD students, young postdocs, and undergraduate students working on topics at the intersection of bio- and geo-sciences are welcome to join the D-A-CH Geobiology symposium on September 30th and October 1st in Bayreuth.
Geobiology is a highly interdisciplinary field that connects topics from diverse but related areas such as the origin and evolution of life, biogeochemical processes, Earth climate, limits of life, geophysics and microbial habitats in Earth's interior.
After an inspiring start at ETH Zürich in 2022 and a successful follow-up at FSU Jena in 2023, this year's D-A-CH Geobiology symposium for early career researchers is coming to University of Bayreuth. The symposium is organized by PhD students and Postdocs from the departments of Ecological Microbiology, Ecology of Fungi, and Hydrology, will take place on September 30th and October 1st.
PhD students, young postdocs, and undergraduate students working on topics at the intersection of bio- and geo-sciences are welcome to present their research. Thanks to support by the Rainer Markgraf and Oberfranken foundations there is no participation fee!
