World Soil Day 2024: Soil as a valuable resource for the future

‘Caring for Soils: Measure, Monitor, Manage’ is the motto of this year's World Soil Day on 5 December 2024.
The global initiative highlights the important role of soils for food security, climate protection and sustainable development. Soils are not only the basis for agriculture, but also play a key role in carbon sequestration and combating climate change.
With numerous research projects, BayCEER is making an important contribution to developing innovative solutions for the protection and sustainable use of this valuable resource. The protection and sustainable use of soils are essential for a sustainable society.
