Atmospheric Transport and Chemistry in Forest Ecosystems

An international conference "Atmospheric Transport and Chemistry in Forest Ecosystems" was held in the Castle of Thurnau, Germany, Oct 5 - 8, 2009.
Hosts: The joined DFG Project Group EGER (Exchange processes in mountainous Regions) in cooperation with the Bayreuth Center of Ecology and environmental Research (BayCEER) and the University of Bayreuth. The conference was supported by the German Science Foundation (DFG). The presentations are soon available on the WEB page of the conference.

Empfang ausländischer Gastwissenschaftler durch OB Dr. M. Hohl

Bei einem Empfang im Rathaus hat Oberbürgermeister Dr. Michael Hohl 19 an der Universität Bayreuth tätige internationale Gastwissenschaftler begrüßt, darunter auch die Doojdao Charuchittipan und Peng Zhao von der Abt. Mikrometeorologie. In kurzen Gesprächen lernte Dr. Hohl die teilnehmenden Gastwissenschaftler persönlich kennen, begrüßte jeden per Handschlag.

Klimawandel in Bayern

Die im Auftrag des LfU Bayern erstellte Studie zu Auswirkungen und Anpassungsmöglichkeiten an den Klimawandel wurde von Prof. Carl Beierkuhnlein und Prof. Thomas Foken als Band 113 im Bayreuther Forum Ökologie herausgegeben und kann über das BayCEER bezogen werden. Die Kurzfassung der Studie wurde vom LfU veröffentlicht und kann über das Bayerische Staatsministerium für Umwelt, Gesundheit und Verbraucherschutz bezogen werden.
