Backround
Geobiology is a highly interdisciplinary field that connects topics from diverse but related areas such as the origin and evolution of life, biogeochemical processes, Earth climate, limits of life, geophysics and microbial habitats in Earth's interior.
Motivation & target group
PhD candidates, postdocs, and undergraduate students working at intersection of bio- and geosciences are invited to present their research, discuss, network and exchange ideas, find new collaboration partners and friends. From current perspectives in geobiology to career discussions, you can expect a broad range of topics at this year's symposium.
The deadline for registration and abstract submission has been extended until August 30th

Program:
The symposium program will include:
- Several sessions of short talks
- Poster session
- Podium discussion with invited established scientitsts on topics of academic careers and new exiting research directions and developments in science
- Social program
- Coffee during breaks & lunch will be provided free of charge
- We will offer a guided tour through a historic mine "Gleissinger Fels" in Fichtel Mountains on the afternoon of September 29th (participation is limited to max. of 30 persons). For registration, please write an email to geobio2024@uni-bayreuth.de stating your interest.
