Dear BayCEER members,

the importance of the BayCEER retreat became extremely evident during the COVID-19 pandemic - as this format was greatly missed and for this year`s BayCEER Retreat many agenda items were submitted. During the last years before the pandemic it was decided to get together for two days off campus on an annual basis, and with the date fixed well in advance. Within the rapidly advancing UBT focus area of Ecology and the Environmental Research this retreat now serves several goals: to bring forward new subjects suitable for interdisciplinary cooperation, to catch up with the status of existing research initiatives, to jointly discuss strategic developments within the BayCEER and to get to know new colleagues in biology and geosciences. The relaxed atmosphere also allows bilateral exchange of ideas and intensive discussions.

We hope that you are looking forward to the envisaged programme - please let us know whether you would like to contribute with another agenda item and we will try to fit int into the programme. We also hope that you can attend the BayCEER Retreat either at both days or one of the half days.

For the logistics, please fill out the details provided with the registration form until July 8:

• Confirmation of your participation
• Accommodation preferences (single room / double room / no overnight stay)
• Diet preferences / restrictions, if applicable
• Attendance of social activities (dinner, "Nachtwächtertour", visit of the "Limmersdorfer Tanzlinde")

Like in the last years we will split the costs: BayCEER covers the cost for conference rooms, catering and social activities, the accommodation is paid by the participants or their working groups. Information on the journey is provided with the category "Arrival".
