Path4Med - Demonstrating Innovative Pathways Addressing Water Pollution in the Mediterranean Agro Hydro System - HORIZON-MISS-2023-OCEAN-SOIL-01

Projekt

Von 07/2024 bis 05/2028

Projektleiter: Efstathios Diamantopoulos
Mitarbeiter: Andreas Kolb, Sabeen Adam, Daria Vdovenko, Mathilde Nielsen

Path4Med brings together experts from across Europe to address the specific environmental challenges of Mediterranean agro-hydro systems. With a focus on sustainable agricultural practices, Path4Med aims to achieve near-zero soil and water pollution by combining state-of-the-art monitoring technologies, community engagement and science-based solutions.

The project operates at the local and regional level, creating Demonstration Sites to test and refine strategies to reduce pollution and support sustainable agriculture. By developing a network of knowledge sharing and practical applications, Path4Med seeks to create lasting positive impacts across Europe.

Our goals include:

  • Zero Pollution solutions Implement effective agricultural practices that minimize nutrient runoff and prevent soil and water pollution.
  • Innovative monitoring Use cutting-edge tools and digital platforms to monitor pollution levels, analyze data, and share findings with stakeholders.
  • Policy integration Develop actionable recommendations to guide EU and national policy toward supporting sustainable agriculture in Mediterranean regions.
  • Community empowerment Engage local communities and agricultural stakeholders to foster pollution awareness, build capacity, and promote sustainable practices.
