Research interests:

  • Development of species-selective methods for preservation and analysis of inorganic and organometallic trace elements
  • Investigations on abiotic and microbially catalyzed transformations in trace element cycles in field and laboratory studies
  • Contaminant removal and rehabilitation studies
  • Determination of the role of species transformations in toxicology
  • Use of isotope fractionation for reconstruction of trace element cycles
  • Compartments of interest: natural surface and groundwaters, seawater, Early Earth Analogues, mine sites, geothermal water and gases, mofettes, rhizosphere, biota, and foods (rice)
