Nam Co Basin

Nam Co

From 02/2011

The Basin of the Nam Co at about 4700 a.s.l. is object of the research by several groups within the cluster. The area is dominated by the Lake Nam Co and the Nyainqentanglha range. Most of the research is carried out close to the Nam Tso Comprehensive Observation and Research Station of the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS). A secound research area is located at Zhadang Glacier (~ 5.500 m a.s.l.) about 50 km southwest of Nam Co Station in the Nyainqentanglha Mountains.
