I am interested in monitoring, understanding and predicting the responses of ecosystems subject to environmental change. Thus my interests range across scales from physiological aspects to processes taking place on global scale. In particular I am intrigued by the potential of remote sensing techniques to combine various types of information and integrate these over space. Moreover I am interested in conservation and the development of political strategies to cope with pressing issues such as climate change.
