Abstract: This final volume of the Flora of Tropical East Africa (covering Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda) treats the former Asclepiadaceae and Periplocaceae, now included in the family Apocynaceae as subfamilies Asclepiadoideae, Secamonoideae and Periplocoideae. 50 years after the first volume appeared, the Flora of Tropical East Africa (FTEA) is now complete. It represents the largest regional tropical Flora ever completed, covering ca. 12.500 species, some 3-4 percent of the World’s Flora |
