Research abroad

Stays abroad offer a big potential for new experiences: the possibility to learn a foreign language on a day-to-day basis (possibly a different one than English, which, today, is required anyway in scientific environments), to plunge into a different culture and, of course, to gain a specific professional skill that is not taught at the home university or even in the home country.

Let alone the organisation, but also the stringent completion of a stay abroad are important milestones in the process of "growing-up" in a scientist's life, and, therefore, are recognized within PEER as special achievements.

At the university of Bayreuth the International Office provides advice and assistance for students and scientists, who are planning to go abroad for studies or research.
