 Learning Objectives (Module A4): Aim is to teach about the interplay in the field of water as a resource between natural science and demands made by society within a global context.

Course Content: The interplay of the three components of water balance in a catchment area (precipitation, evaporation, storage capability) is taught in the lecture, and system behaviour is discussed. The functions of natural hydrologic systems including model building will be dealt with.
