 Academic The intersection of ecosystems-based adaptation and resilience of communities and species to climate change:
  ecosystem services; ecological economics; landscape and community ecology; conservation biology; ecological and ecosystem services modelling; GIS and remote sensing; ecological network corridors; environmental and climate policy; international policy formulation.
   
Extra-mural  2014 - 2016: Initiated and co-ordinated a student-run organic allotment garden at the University of Stellenbosch (with support from the Agri-sciences Faculty).
 

 2015 - 2017: Co-founded and co-ordinated a fossil fuel divestment campaign at the University of Stellenbosch. 

 

   2018: Am conceptualising and directing a sustainable consumption campaign directed to students at the University of Bayreuth, to commence in May 2018.
