Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope (CLSM)

Our CLSM is optimised for analytical measurements in aqueous environments. It allows for the 3-dimensional mapping of various constituents of environmental samples, such as microorganisms or extracellular polymeric substances by using fluorescence dyes that bind specifically to DNA, glucoconjugates, lipids etc. We are also specialised on metal-sensitive fluorescence probes that can be used to specifically map certain metal species in samples.
