IC (Ion Exchange Chromatography)

IC (Ion Exchange Chromatography)Modell: Metrohm 881 Compact IC pro
Determination of: Chloride, Nitrate, ortho-Phosphate, Sulfate.Determination of ionic species in aqueous solutions is done by Ion Exchange Chromatography and following measurement of electric conductivity. Ion Exchange Chromatography is based upon the different affinity of ions for the stationary phase. Sample solution is pumped through an ion exchange column and ions are separated due to their specific affinity to the column material. A following electric suppression cell decreases the background conductivity of the eluent. The concentration of the ionic species is determined by measuring the electric conductivity of the solution after passing the columns. Applications are available for water, aqueous soil extracts and soil percolates.
