The TERRECO science conference will be held in Garmisch in cooperation with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). It is conceptualized as an internal TERRECO conference with Korean and Bayreuth participants.
It will be a very important meeting with the following objectives:
1. synthesis and feedback on results obtained by cohort 1 graduate students
2. planning of larger synthetic publications at faculty level for a special journal issue
3. joint German and Korean discussion of where TERRECO is/should be going
4. listing of project themes for cohort 2 students in preparation of position advertising
5. establishing the basic framework for the TERRECO phase II DFG proposal
The short papers will focus on one of the following research clusters growing within TERRECO:
1. Land Surface Properties and Exchange Processes
2. Soil Carbon, Nitrogen and Water Interactions
3. Catchment Hydrology and Biogeochemistry
4. Integrating Biodiversity and Landscape Processes
5. Social-Ecological Aspects of Landscape Function
The papers should feature results from the Soyang Lake Watershed.
