Field Site Requirements
TERRECO study sites have been selected:
- to examine the role of small catchments with differing land use in terms of their contributions of polluted water to a major water reservoir,
- to test the validity of landscape models for production, water yield and water quality along environmental gradients and with intensification of agricultural land use,
- to achieve better coupling of atmospheric, hydrological, biogeochemical and biotic processes in our landscape level models,
- to develop robust descriptions of ecosystem processes applicable over a broad range of climate regimes, and
- to predict human response to global change and decision making at both local and regional scales in
