Das EGER (ExchanGE processes in mountainous Regions) Projekt zielt auf die detailierte Quantifizierung relevanter Prozesse des Systems Boden-Vegetation-Atmosphäre durch die Beobachtung  von Tages- und Jahresgängen der Kreisläufe von Energie, Wasserdampf und Spurengasen.  Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf dem Verständnis von Prozessinteraktionen auf unterschiedlichen Skalen und deren Rolle für Bilanzen. Es wurden Feldexperimente auf der Waldstein Messfläche im Fichtelgebirge (einer typischen Mittelgebirgslage) durchgeführt, die auf Grund von Heterogenität und Struktur des Geländes eine Herausforderung darstellen. Experimentelle Messungen wurden ergänzt durch Modellierung des Stoff- und Energieaustauschs. Das EGER Projekt enthält biogeochemische, chemische und mikrometeorologische Teilprojekte.

Im Rahmen des mikrometeorologischen Teilprojekt wurden folgende Fragestellungen untersucht:

-  Kopplung unterschiedlicher Höhenschichten im Bestand sowie räumliche und zeitliche Struktur von kohärenten Strukturen im Vertikalprofil,

-  Signaturen kohärenter Strukturen zur Identifizierung von Quellen der Flüsse von unterschiedlichen Höhenschichten,

-  Advektion in einem Fichtenwald mit einem neu entworfenen System, das die synchrone hochaufgelöste Messung von Konzentrationen an mehreren Messpunkten erlaubt,

-  Anpassung des Modells ACASA (Advanced Canopy-Atmosphere-Soil algorithm) für die Waldstein Messfläche und Analyse der Sensitivität des Modells gegenüber seiner Eingangsparameter.

 

Das Projekt wird fortgesetzt unter der Bezeichnung Fo 226/21-1 (PAK 446)
