I am an ecologist, with a focus on spatial phylogenetics, with a passion for biodiversity conservation both in research and in practice from flora to fauna. My research lies on the interface of Ecology and Evolution, with a focus on understanding and conserving biodiversity across spatial scales. I use spatial phylogenetics and large-scale biodiversity data to reveal patterns of diversity and to inform for conservation planning, by identifying the drivers shaping these patterns. Building on my experience working in northern ecosystems at broad spatial scales, I am increasingly interested in how environmental drivers, including climate, alien species and disturbances, shape biodiversity patterns in complex ecosystems. Through combining macroecological approaches with spatial phylogenetics, I seek to advance both ecological knowledge and conservation strategies.
