My research focuses on plant community and ecosystem responses to environmental gradients, climate change, and land use change. In current projects, I examine the role of drought in driving composition and diversity of plant communities along a moisture gradient and investigate their underlying mechanisms. I have been working in different ecosystems including temperate grasslands, temperate deciduous forests, tropical savanna, and tropical dry forests, exposed to natural or experiential environmental gradients.
