Central Facilities at the BayCEER
BayCEER members benefit from two scientific-technical laboratories as well as expertise in modern sensor data management. The BayCEER Office provides support in matters of field experiment technology and events.
The DFG Core Facility "Bayreuth Centre for Stable Isotope Research in Ecology and Biogeochemistry" determines the abundance of stable isotopes, develops new analytical methods and advises on the planning and implementation of experiments with stable isotopes.
Lead: Dr. Alexander Frank
The central laboratory for Analytical Chemistry carries out quantitative chemical analyses according to validated procedures, develops customised analysis methods together with the researchers and advises on the selection and application of suitable methods.
Lead: Prof. Dr. Martin Obst
BayCEER's central service unit develops and operates a flexible, modular system for environmental sensor data acquisition, storage and scientific analysis, as well as software for content and conference management.
