• Geomorphic processes of arid regions (alluvial fans, ephemeral valleys, etc.), e.g. runoff erosion, sediment transport
• Remote sensing applications in arid regions, e.g. runoff erosion, sediment transport, natural hazards
• Long and short-term erosion estimates, e.g., local and regional scale, cosmogenic nuclides
• Stratigraphy and basin evolution, e.g. Quaternary geochronology, tectonics, cosmogenic and radiogenic nuclides
• Man-environment-interactions, e.g. natural hazards, permafrost degradation, contaminant sediments monitoring
• Karst geomorphology
