Submeso-scale motions and stable boundary layers

We conduct research on a class of motions termed submeso-scale motions, which are larger than turbulence, but smaller than those of typical weather systems (meso-scale). They become important at night when winds are weak, and they dominate the transport (diffusion and dispersion) of heat and mass including pollutants and contaminants.
