My research focus is the measurement and modelling of surface - atmosphere exchange of energy and carbon, especially evapotranspiration and the impact of land-use changes on the budgets and dynamic of air-land interaction. This includes pasture degradation on the Tibetan Plateau as well interannual dynamics of carbon and water exchange in Central German Uplands
