Für ihre Arbeiten als Postdoc an der University of California Riverside erhielt Prof. Dr. Angelika Mustroph, seit 2010 Juniorprofessorin für Pflanzengenetik am Lehrstuhl Pflanzenphysiologie der Universität Bayreuth, den „CEPCEB Postdoctoral Award for Outstanding Research“. Dieser Preis wird jährlich an herausragende Wissenschaftler vergeben, die auf dem Gebiet der Pflanzenzellbiologie, Genetik oder Bioinformatik arbeiten.
